Hanging out... meeting neighbours on a walk

One thing that I have grown to love about Morris... being able to just stand on my driveway and visit with all of the neighbours walking by with their kids. On this particular Saturday, it was Sophie and her Dad. Sophie was born the same year as Danya and her Dad, Dan, was one of Cole's teachers last year.

So I am not a flash photographer... well I never used to be, anyways! But I knew I was going to be heading into a poorly lit auditorium with an extremely high ceiling, so I asked for an early birthday present and got a nifty little speedlight (thanks Mom). It helped immensely (once I figured it out!).

I followed Melissa and her friends around all night - they looked so beautiful! Here are some memories from Grad '09.

School time fun

I've been taking some candid shots at various school activities. Although it is purely volunteer, I see quite a few benefits... I get to practice my photography in different settings and lighting... I get to be involved with the kids from the community, many of whom I love and... I get to spy on my kids. It's a win-win situation!
